The Maple City Greenway consists of a network of bicycle and pedestrian trails throughout Goshen. The trails connect homes, parks, schools, the library and the downtown area. Eleven of these trails are described below:

  • Abshire Park Trail
    A crushed-stone surface, this trail connects Pumpkinvine Nature Trail along Rock Run Creek to Monroe Street.

  • Central City Trail
    A brick-edged sidewalk linking Goshen College, the Goshen Library, Goshen High School, the Elkhart County Courthouse and the downtown area.

  • Fidler Pond Walking/Biking Track
    A crushed-stone walking and biking track that follows the perimeter of Fidler Pond.
    1.5 miles
  • Millrace Trail
    A crushed-stone walking and biking trail that follows the hydraulic canal and connects Shoup-Parsons Woods, Shanklin Park and downtown Goshen.
    2.75 miles
  • Monroe Street Trail
    A paved surface that connects Goshen High School, Pumpkinvine Trail, and Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds.

  • Plymouth Avenue Trail
    This paved trail connects Shanklin Park and Goshen Middle School via a bridge over the Elkhart River and continues to Hay Park and Greene Road.

  • Pringle Park Walking Track
    A crushed-stone walking track that follows the perimeter of Pringle Park.

  • Pumpkinvine Nature Trail
    The Pumpkinvine Nature Trail is a crushed-stone trail that runs along Rock Run Creek and Abshire Park, connecting the cities of Goshen, Middlebury and Shipshewana.

    A crushed-stone surface that features a self-guided nature study.

  • Wilden Avenue Trail
    This paved trail connects to the MapleHart Trail, Ox Bow County Park and the city of Elkhart.

    The Winona Interurban Trail, a paved trail, connects Goshen College with Greencroft Retirement Center, Bethany Christian School, and Waterford Elementary School.
