City of Goshen Neighborhood Associations
Historic Racemere Peninsula
- Boundaries are from Main Street to the east, College Avenue to the north, the Millrace to the west, Goshen Dam / Ditch to the south
- All the roads in this neighborhood were named by the original owners of the land, whose first names were Grace and Roy (hence the well-known street in this area called “Gra-Roy”).
- The Goshen College President historically lived in a house located on the Dam Pond in this neighborhood, a tradition that ceased in the early 2000s.
- When the winters are cold enough, residents take up ice skating and games of hockey on the frozen Millrace.
