Courtney Snyder
Goshen City Firefighter and EMT
I was a volunteer fireman before I went to full-time. It was an avenue I was preceding down not thinking I would do it full-time, but here I am. I’m just trying to lend a hand where I need to. I try to always think, ‘How are you impacting the people you’re around?’ I want people to remember me for that, always looking to help someone else. I want to give back to the community; to be able to help wherever I can. That’s my mission.
You do things because that’s who you are. You don’t do it for a reason. Helping people, filling in the gaps, those types of things, those are the things that I do whether I’m at work or at home. It takes a lot from you, but you have to keep going.
There is so much diversity here in Goshen. The kids are the future leaders of our city, country, our state, our workplace. They’re our society.
