Terry Kercher
We’re very fortunate. Goshen’s been really good to us. We’ve always strived to put customer service first, and I think that means a lot in a small town like Goshen. We’ve been blessed to be at it for 21 years. Every year we seem to grow a little bit. Because of Goshen, we’re still in Goshen.
We started the business in 1999. I worked in News Printing at The Goshen News from 1993 to ’99 and then left there. I thought I was going back into accounting, which is what my degree is in. Enough customers called me at home wanting to know where I was going to do printing. Wendy and I decided to open our own business, and the rest is history.
I was never an athlete myself, but I love going to all the football and basketball games, baseball on occasion. I was a Goshen High School graduate and have always wanted to give back to the school. We try to be really supportive of all the Goshen athletic events that we can.
I coached high school bowling for four or five years. I coached Little League, too, for more than 15 years. Sports in Goshen is a positive thing. It’s adults willing to give back time for the sake of kids. That’s where tomorrow starts, with parents and adults being involved in kids’ lives.
It really is the people in the community and the willingness to give and to give back to the community. I just want to be a small part of that. I think there’s a lot of people willing to do anything for anybody in the community. I like the smallness of Goshen, but it’s large enough that there are different things going on.
It’s a good community, and I think it’s a loyal community, too. People buy local. There are different online places you can buy from, but I think the people of Goshen respect and are loyal to the hometown small businesses here, and I think we’re fortunate with that.
