The Good of Goshen • Tracy Klopfenstein

Co-Owner, The Chief Ice Cream

It is fun to see people chatting with their neighbors in line and to see children playing tag among the trees in the back. Goshen is a special place because there is such a sense of community. Sometimes, I even have customers who offer to help me with the trash out back.

People travel long distances and stand in long lines for our ice cream because it’s almost impossible to find the equivalent anywhere around. The antique ice cream machine delivers a special creaminess that is far smoother than modern machines. And, our recipes use natural ingredients, not bottled flavorings.

People are happy when they’re getting ice cream. I love being part of that joy.
